There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.

Provisions

1.   Prohibits the state or any county, city, town, municipal corporation or political subdivision of the state from imposing:

a)   a tax or fee on any person based on vehicle miles traveled; and

b)   any rule or law to monitor or limit the vehicle miles traveled of a person in a motor vehicle.

2.   Requires the Secretary of State to submit the proposition to the voters at the next general election.

3.   Becomes effective if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor.
