An Act
amending title 16, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-242.01; relating to the presidential preference election.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 16, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-242.01, to read:
16-242.01. Political party nominee; voting methods
A. For any political party that chooses not to participate in the publicly administered presidential preference election and that chooses to select a nominee for president by way of a vote that is open to the entire membership of the political party, the political party shall provide for a method of voting that allows all of the following to participate:
1. Persons who are uniformed services or uniformed overseas citizens.
2. Persons with disabilities.
B. The political party in its sole discretion may choose the means employed for voting.
C. This section does not obligate a political party to hold a presidential preference election or select a nominee for president by popular vote.
