amending title 15, chapter 13, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-1650.07; appropriating monies; relating to the Arizona board of regents.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 15, chapter 13, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-1650.07, to read:
15-1650.07. Tribal community college operations fund
The tribal community college operations fund is established consisting of legislative appropriations and gifts, grants, devises and other contributions of monies from any lawful source. The Arizona board of regents shall administer the fund and distribute monies from the fund to tribal community colleges in this state. Monies in the fund are subject to legislative appropriation and are exempt from the provisions of section 35-190 relating to lapsing of appropriations. Monies from the fund may be used for operational expenses incurred by a tribal community college, including expenses incurred to establish or provide instructional programs that will be offered by the tribal COMMUNITY college. On notice from the department, the state treasurer shall invest and divest monies in the fund as provided by section 35-313, and monies earned from investment shall be credited to the fund.
Sec. 2. Appropriations; tribal community college operations fund
The sum of $13,333,333 is appropriated from the state general fund in each of fiscal years 2024-2025, 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to the tribal community college operations fund established by section 15-1650.07, Arizona Revised Statutes, as added by this act, and is appropriated from the tribal community college operations fund to the Arizona board of regents.
