HOUSE BILL 2702

amending section 41-3025.01, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to the Arizona criminal justice commission.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 41-3025.01, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE41-3025.01. Arizona criminal justice commission; termination December 31, 2025

A. The Arizona criminal justice commission terminates on July 1 december 31, 2025.

B. Sections 41-2404 and 41-2405 and this section are repealed on January july 1, 2026. END_STATUTE

Sec. 2. Purpose

Pursuant to section 41-2955, subsection B, Arizona Revised Statutes, the legislature continues the Arizona criminal justice commission to provide a cooperative exchange of information and analysis of issues relating to criminal justice and law enforcement among different public and private agencies.

Sec. 3. Conforming legislation

The legislative council staff shall prepare proposed legislation conforming the Arizona Revised Statutes to the provisions of this act for consideration in the fifty-seventh legislature, second regular session.

Sec. 4. Retroactivity

Section 1 of this act applies retroactively to from and after July 1, 2025.
