A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
proposing an amendment to the CONSTITUTION of Arizona; amending article IV, part 2, Constitution of Arizona, by adding section 26; relating to the legislature.

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring:
1. Article IV, part 2, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be amended by adding section 26 as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor:
26. Legislative approval of expenditure and appropriation of federal fund monies; joint legislative committee
section 26. A. THE LEGISLATURE MAY ESTABLISH BY LAW THE APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURES AND APPROPRIATIONS OF FEDERAL FUND MONIES AVAILABLE TO THIS STATE AND ANY OF ITS BUDGET UNITS.
B. THE LEGISLATURE MAY ESTABLISH BY LAW A JOINT COMMITTEE COMPOSED OF MEMBERS OF EACH HOUSE OF THE LEGISLATURE that, WHEN THE LEGISLATURE IS NOT IN SESSION, MAY EXERCISE AUTHORITY AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW RELATING TO STATE AND FEDERAL MONIES.
2. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
