amending section 40-461, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to the residential utility consumer office.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 40-461, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE40-461. Definitions

In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:

1. "Director" means the director of the residential utility consumer office.

2. "Office" means the residential utility consumer office.

3. "Public service corporation" means a public service corporation as defined in article XV, section 2, Constitution of Arizona,  except a member-owned nonprofit cooperative corporation.

4. "Represent the interests of" means advocating for the safest and most reliable utility service achievable at the lowest retail electric rate possible. END_STATUTE
