AN ACT
amending title 28, chapter 3, article 17, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 28-986; relating to inspection of vehicles.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 28, chapter 3, article 17, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 28-986, to read:
28-986. Authorized emergency vehicles operated as police vehicles; inspection
To qualify as an authorized emergency VEHICLE operated as a police vehicle in a patrol capacity by a law enforcement agency, a vehicle must be inspected annually and at the time of inspection have either of the following:
1. a manufacture date of ten years or less from the inspection date.
2. One hundred fifteen thousand miles or less on the odometer.
