amending title 16, chapter 2, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-231; relating to elections.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 2, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-231, to read:

START_STATUTE16-231. Elections officer or employee; candidate; prohibition

A public officer or employee whose DUTIES include any aspect of election administration or operations may not engage in those election duties if the public officer or employee is a candidate on the ballot for that election, except for the office of precinct committeeman. END_STATUTE
