The bill would appropriate $103,300,000 from the General Fund in FY 2026 to the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) for a 20% salary increase for correctional officers and a 10% salary increase for all other department staff.
Estimated Impact
The bill will have a total General Fund impact of $103,300,000. We estimate that this amount will fund the specified salary increases for filled positions only and not for vacant positions that have historically been unfilled. Of this amount, we estimate that $94,800,000 will fund the 20% salary increase for correctional officers and $8,500,000 will fund the 10% salary increase for all other ADC staff.
