Description

The bill would require the Auditor General, if requested by the Joint Legislative Audit Committee (JLAC), to conduct performance audits of an agency or political subdivision receiving taxpayer monies to determine whether the terms and conditions that are required to receive the monies are met.

Estimated Impact

Based on input from the Auditor General, the fiscal impact of the bill cannot be determined in advance since the workload is dependent on the degree to which JLAC directs the Auditor General to conduct the performance audits specified by the bill.
