Committee on Appropriations
Overview
Expands the allowable usage of monies appropriated in the FY 2024 Budget to the Town of Patagonia for the reconstruction of McKeown Avenue between Third Avenue West and State Route (SR) 82.
History
Laws 1973, Chapter 146 established the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to provide for an integrated and balanced state transportation system with a director responsible for the Department's administration. ADOT has exclusive control and jurisdiction over state highways, state routes, state-owned airports and all state-owned transportation systems or modes (A.R.S. § 28-331).
The FY 2024 Budget Capital Outlay Bill appropriated $1,500,000 from the state General Fund in FY 2024 to ADOT for distribution to the Town of Patagonia for the reconstruction of McKeown Avenue between Fourth Avenue West and SR 82.
Provisions
1. Authorizes the Town of Patagonia to use the remainder of a FY 2024 Budget appropriation, originally distributed for the reconstruction of McKeown Avenue between Fourth Avenue West and SR 82, for the reconstruction of McKeown Avenue between Third Avenue West and SR 82. (Sec. 1)
