ARIZONA STATE SENATE

appropriation; Woolford Road extension
Purpose
Appropriates $6,000,000 from the state General Fund (state GF) in FY 2026 to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to distribute to the City of Show Low for the Woolford Road extension project.
Background
ADOT is responsible for the design and construction of state public transportation systems and the maintenance and operation of state highways in Arizona (A.R.S. § 28-332). ADOT may contract and do all things necessary to secure the full benefits available to Arizona for transportation purposes under federal law. ADOT may cooperate with: 1) federal, state and local government agencies; 2) Indian tribes; 3) private and public organizations; and 4) private individuals. ADOT may exchange federal monies with local governments in order to receive local monies and may include additional federal monies in the exchange to offset the matching costs required of local governments (A.R.S. § 28-334).
H.B. 2220 appropriates $6,000,000 from the state GF in FY 2026 to ADOT to distribute to the City of Show Low.
Provisions

2. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
