AN ACT

appropriating monies to yuma/la paz community college district.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriations; Yuma/La Paz community college district; exemption

A. The following sums are appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the Yuma/La Paz community college district for the following purposes:

1. $3,000,000 to upgrade the heating, ventilation and air conditioning training program.

2. $500,000 to support the logistics program in San Luis.

3. $5,300,000 to support a workforce training program, including training in hydrometallurgical techniques, to operate and optimize cobalt processing.

4. $3,000,000 to develop and implement an energy audit and optimization program focused on electric vehicle technologies.

B. The appropriations made in subsection A of this section are exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
